We lost a beautiful, smart, sweet, loving dog last night. Ms. Dottie came from a hoarding situation. And although she loved being around other dogs, she could be a wallflower with people. Well, every person, but her foster mom. She loved her foster — like we all wish a dog would love us. Deeply. Loyally. And without conditions.
Dottie went to a trial adoption, and got loose when the adopter hit her elbow on the garage and lost hold of her. While loose, Dottie was tragically hit by a car and did not survive…
…we are heartbroken, lost, and asking for prayers for Dottie. We would also like to share the words said so well by her foster mom, Britny.
“Please keep my girl Dottie in your thoughts on her journey to a new and hopefully better place. She was funny and smart and loved me in a way I’ve never before felt. I’m so sorry my girl. We will never forget you or stop loving you.”
